You will want to get your application in as soon as possible to ensure consideration. HealthTraxx programs do not have strong deadlines, right now. You must be admitted or in your approved medical program in order to be considered. If you have finished your medical program, you are no longer eligible for HealthTraxx.
Yes. You may apply for both the HealthTraxx Work Study Plan (must be a caregiver at Covenant Health) and Tuition Reimbursement Program. Each program will require you to sign a work agreement/contract.
No. We have a limit on how many students we can approve each year based on funding availability. We review employment and education histories as well as review references. We also take into account any information you provide in your letter to the HealthTraxx committee.
You will work for Covenant Health full-time in your new profession after graduation for the length of your agreement. You will be eligible to apply to work in Covenant Medical Center, Covenant Women's & Children's, Covenant Specialty Hospital, Covenant Hospital Levelland, and Covenant Hospital Plainview (there is separate policies and contracts for caregivers pursuing HealthTraxx under Covenant Medical Group) that has a full-time opening in your new career field. You will have up to 60 days after graduation to accept a position. If a position is not available in your area of choice, you must take a position in another area until one becomes available in your area of choice. You do not have to fulfill the entire commitment in this department. You will be eligible to apply to transfer every 6 months.
If you accept assistance from HealthTraxx, you will not qualify for any tuition assistance or education assistance programs at Covenant Health or Providence.
You will have to pay back the HealthTraxx assistance that was paid to you. Because there is a limit on how many awards we can give out, we want to make sure we are awarding the individuals that want to start their careers as part of the Covenant ministry.
