Description

This is a combined posting for an Associate Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant, and Senior Medical Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. An Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

The Medical Assistant (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Medical Assistant (II) performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. A Medical Assistant (MA II) is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

The Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) is capable of performing all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) and Medical Assistant (MA II) roles. Additionally, the MA III proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location. Senior Medical Assistant (MA III) serves as an ambassador, change agent, quality champion, and mentor/resource to Medical Assistants by providing support, guidance, and training as needed.

Associate Medical Assistant:

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants or alternate training program.

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

  • Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

  • 6 months of prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

  • 6 months of previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).

Associate Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Texas, Mexico

Min: $14.35, Max: $22.35

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

Medical Assistant:

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam.

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

  • 6 months of healthcare experience.

  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Texas, Mexico

Min: $15.54, Max: $24.20

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible rehire and external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

Senior Medical Assistant:

Required Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school for medical assistants, or an equivalent combination of coursework, experience/training to qualify to sit for a National Certification exam.

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

  • 2 years of medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.

  • 2 years of experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.

  • 6 months of working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.

Senior Medical Assistant, Salary Range:

Texas, Mexico

Min: $16.29, Max: $25.91
